Description
The Koch Survival Kit is a multifunctional crewmember safety system
designed for use in legacy aircraft. Koch manufactures specific configurations
for B-52, F-4, F-5, T-38 and U-2 aircraft. Custom configurations are
also available. Koch Survival Kits deploy self-contained systems designed
to protect aircrew members in both land and sea ejection environments.
A controlled automatic deployment system insures that all components
are in readiness prior to landing.
Koch Survival Kit components are fully tested and qualified to exceed
military requirements. Survival Kits provide full emergency equipment
protection in a hardened container, buoyancy systems for water landings,
nourishment, potable water, emergency communications and medical aid
for aircrew members awaiting rescue personnel.
Koch Survival Kits are easily configured as retrofit upgrades for legacy
aircraft. And with a shelf life of at least 6 years, legacy aircraft
can provide aircrew members with current safety technology during the
service life of the aircraft.
Survival Kits for U‑2 Applications
The
U-2 (PN 960200‑3) survival kit is a new application of Koch technology
for this venerable legacy aircraft. The Koch U‑2 kit offers numerous
technology upgrades to the system it replaces. The kit can be deployed
either automatically or manually depending on crewmember choice. Kit
packing has been simplified by incorporation of trigger-style lid latches
to ease closing. The manual deployment/ground egress handle is hinged
for ease of operation. The main fiberglass box is made from a strong
precision resin transfer mold process that offers lightweight and high
strength. The survival system can withstand extreme ejection loads from
fully equipped crewmembers.
This kit is currently completing USAF testing and will be offered for
purchase in the near future.
Survival Kits for B‑52, F‑5 & T‑38 Applications
The
B‑52, F‑5 and T‑38 (PN 025‑750000‑5) survival
kit has provided critical safety and survival equipment storage since
the late 1970s. The kit can be deployed either automatically or manually
depending on crewmember choice. The main box is made from a strong lightweight
compression molded fiberglass that can withstand extreme ejection loads
from fully equipped crewmembers.
The rugged CNU‑129/P survival kit is now back in production. There
is a US Government pre-negotiated contract that takes advantage of volume
pricing. Place your orders through normal channels to take advantage
of this limited time offer.
Survival Kits for F‑4 Applications
The
F‑4 (PN 140000‑100) survival kit has provided critical safety
and survival equipment storage and ejection performance since the 1960s.
Koch Kits
flew in all series of F‑4 aircraft and are offered in numerous custom
configurations.
The kit can be deployed either automatically or manually depending
on crewmember choice. The main box is made from a strong hand laminated
resin sealed fiberglass that can withstand extreme ejection loads from
fully equipped crewmembers.
