Dome Light

Description
The
Dome Light is under development for the Personnel (Troop) Variant of
the AAAV/EFV. These lights will be used to replace the existing incandescent
lights that were derived from the Bradley Armored Vehicle.
The Dome Light is designed to fit in the same mounts as used by the older lights, but have a considerably lower profile, use far less vehicle power, and do not generate heat as do the units they replace.
The
Dome Light has two LED arrays. The normal operating condition provides
white light, whereas
the night vision compatible condition provides blue light.
Power for the task Lighting System is provided
by the vehicle's 24‑28VDC supply.
